Salah Offers Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the team following the controversy from his recent interview.
What Happened
He was omitted from a vital match following criticising the club and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.
Moving Forward
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and everybody was exactly the same with him,” Jones added.
Jones also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Team Form
Their results have been impressive in the matches since the interview fallout. He feels the outburst were not intended to cause disruption.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
