The New Animated Series' Opening Sequence Chose the Incorrect Popular RPG Show Track

This latest animated series, the most recent animated series from the beloved role-playing group, unveiled a new opening credits. It showcases the beloved cast of misfits, misfits, and rogues kicking ass and taking names, while teasing at multiple agonizing personal histories for characters such as the voice actor's mage Caleb, and another actor's warlock orc, the character Fjord.

All in all, the intro appears amazing. However, I felt that an element was missing in the music selection.

This sequence uses "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song composed by producer and singer Colm McGuinness. This piece from the official score of the same name, the second release put out by Critical Role Productions LLC's record label their music brand. It's a wonderful nostalgic option, and I believe that fans of the sequel series will appreciate its presence.

Personally, The series' opening doesn't quite capture the excitement and energy that accompanied the second campaign's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", written by musician the artist, became an immediate hit for me when it was initially unveiled in that year, and it only got better when cast member the performer added lyrics to the tune for the series' animated intro in 2018.

Including singing from Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the track was catchy and enjoyable. At the time, I hadn't even watched the follow-up series yet, but this was such an earworm that I kept it on my phone. It's a song that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an installment of fantasy hijinks.

The show's intro with "Welcome to Wildemount" fails to hit the same chords for me. It's a grand composition, but based on my understanding of the group, I can't help but feel that its mood is somewhat mismatched.

Of course, Critical Role has already said that the animated show will have a few surprises and differences from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its opening seems to be among these.

The Mighty Nein will be released on the streaming service from Nov. 19. If you can't wait before that, or wish to prepare to learn about the characters of the second series, the actual play are accessible on Spotify and the video site.
