The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing about PlayStation for the first time. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company remains determined to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription alone. Yet, this selection are very dependable. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — which makes them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
