Your Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign

This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the community. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this total royalty. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant stream of chatter to those who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds quite like a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a intense sign famous for frequently becoming wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

Leo – Super Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became consciousness through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. Being a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
